Heaven after break-in
I wore out two pairs of earlier design Scarpa SL's on many peaks and winter camps even though they were only rated "three season". Those boots were the most comfortable and versatile hikers I have ever owned. Inevitable replacement needs had me look at this new model first. I was not thrilled with the elevated footbed and the fact that Scarpa apparently was falling in step with the footbed design of worthy but lesser competitors like Asolo and Vasque.
Break in was longer than anticipated; I'll attribute that to the quality and thickness of the leather. Once properly broken in a very comfy ride is yours. Owing to the extended break in required it is critical that your foot is compatible with the last in terms of width toe box etc. as you will not feel the true nature of these boots in a try-on session.
The biggest weakness is again the elevated footbed that reduces agility and balance over the prior design.
An excellent all-arounder boot but not as far ahead of the competition as before.

Great boot!
I am a huge Muck Boot fan (note - there are knock offs out there - I am talking about boots made by the Muck Boot Co and under the Muck Boot brand). We use these exclusively on my ranch in Montana and have purchased just about every make and model they have from the Muck Shoes all the way up to the cold weather arctic versions and everything in between.
The neoprene uppers stay soft and are tough in the rough. They are easy on and off due to the soft uppers. I have a high arch and full length rubber boots are always very hard for me to get off. These boots since the uppers fold down are much easier to get off.
They work fine over the pant or under the pant. The only time I have seen them break down is when my employees ride motorcycles out to change wheel line etc. and they hook them on the foot pegs. This can tear the uppers so they are not indestructible. The rubber bottoms are very well constructed. The steal toe versions of the boots provide good front foot protection. Size seems pretty standard so if you are a men's 10 the 10 seems to fit true. A typical pair of boots will last years on the ranch and I have never seen one come apart in any place. The sole will wear out before the boot breaks down. Leaking has never been a problem.
One note: The tack or scrub version of the boots has a sole that is not really made for great gripping on slick surfaces (at least that is my experience). They work fine in the barn but if you are going to be doing a bunch of walking outdoors over ice or slick mud I recommend the "lug" soles.
I have worn the arctic version of the boot in very cold weather (-10 F) and your feet will stay warm with a good sock. I would not use them to stand for long periods of time in very cold weather as there are better boots made for that kind of performance. The non-arctic versions get worn all year around unless it's very cold.
These boots are not cheap in price but the last thing I want is wet cold or sore feet or a boot that breaks down quickly. Muck Boots perform very well and will outlast cheaper brands by a long time.

Great in theory poor in implementation
It is a great idea. A hiking sole on a mucker. I live in an area with very slick clay and have fallen many times with the regular garden mucker so when I saw the sole on the hiking mucker I was excited. But it is poorly executed. Had they just put a substantial sole on the garden mucker they would have had a winner. Instead they tried to make a "hiking shoe". Many reviews talk about the sizing being incorrect for women as a men's 7 is listed as a woman's 8. I wear a women's size 9 so followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered the men's 7 which is generally a woman's size 9. The fit is fine in terms of length. But the shoe is built up around the ankle and gouges when walking. The heel is large and sloppy. I ended up adding another insole and heel cup to boost my foot up enough that the back of the shoe won't gouge my achilles tendon while walking and the heel is not so sloppy. With these modifications I am making it work but I won't order another pair.

Awesome.
There were other muck boots in my past. Then these muck boots came into my life and my feet were finally happy going out in the snow/mud/rain. I bought my first pair eight years ago and although a little pricey they are definitely worth it. I got my monies worth out of them. They lasted for 8 years wearing them every day twice a day in every kind of weather to go out and feed my horses/donkey/goats and to also walk my dogs in lousy weather. Sometimes I walk in mud almost a foot deep in spots and my feet stay toasty and dry. In the winter I use them when shoveling or snowblowing. I love them because you just pull them on - no laces to tie nothing to zip. These are all one piece too so no soles to come off which happened to me with my previous pair. When it's warmer outside I just come back to the house and rinse them off under the hose and we're good.

fantastic chore boots
I bought these for my husband - he has a couple of pairs of the low Muck shoes which he loves and a tall pair of Muckboots too. These ankle high ones have become his absolute favorites -they are slip-on easy but provide good support to the foot and ankle and they are unbelievably nice-feeling on the feet.
Muck boots are a fabulous line of products - extremely well made and very useful for the country lifestyle - these are a wonderful addition to the boot tray !!

Muckboots
Very warm and everything you want in a hunting boot. Only problem is they run very large in size. Normally I wear a size 11 1/2 shoe so ordered a size 12 and it is very big even with an extra large pair of socks. Order one size smaller it will fit.

Great Boots
I have used several types of Snake boots in the past including Danner. These are by far the best on the market. After about a few hours of walking they seem to mold to your feet and are very comfortable to walk in. I am comfortable that they are snake proof due to the quality materials they are made of. The only drawback is they are fairly expensive.
I have had these about 6 months now and used them extensively this past deer season. They seem to be holding up well.

Great For Early Season & Turkey Hunting
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Edgewater Boot for the last four deer/turkey seasons. The boot is comfortable flexible and has never leaked. I find that the boot keeps my feet comfortably warm down to 29 Deg. F or so. I wear a size 12US and the boot fits me to size. I am able to wear a medium weight thermal sock without feeling cramped. The boot is not so heavy as to make it uncomfortable when walking for long periods of time here in the ridge & valley terrain in Eastern Tennessee. For late season and times weather reaches the 20s I would suggest owning a pair of Wetlands (My choice) or a pair of the Woody series available. Keep in mind although the Woody series are VERY warm they are Not (In my opinion) the boot for much extended walking.

Garden Shoes
I have had a pair of MuckBoots for years and know that the quality is great. So I purchased this pair as a Christmas gift for my Mom. The only challenge was the sizing. When I initially ordered them they only had unisex sizing...so when I received them they were men's size. When I looked it up again the sizing had been changed to reflect men's/women's. I reordered and they were a perfect fit. My Mom loves them!
